Aerotek Awarded U.S. Navy SeaPort-e Prime Contract

Aerotek announced today that it has been awarded a SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) prime contract to provide program services and personnel directly to U.S. Navy commands in all zones across the United States.

SeaPort-e (www.seaport.navy.mil) is an online portal that provides electronic procurement of engineering, technical and professional support services for all commands within the Naval Enterprise including: Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Air Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, Naval Facilities Engineering Command,  Strategic Systems Programs and the U.S. Marine Corps.  SeaPort-e provides standardized guidelines for issuing, awarding and managing competitive solicitations among a large and diverse group of approved contractors.

Aerotek partnered with 11 other small and large subcontractors for this most recent round of Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) Multiple Award Contracts (MACs).  Prior to receiving SeaPort-e prime contractor status, Aerotek was listed as a subcontractor supporting several other SeaPort-e prime contractors.  Now, Aerotek can bid on task orders as a prime contractor or as a subcontractor for 10 other companies.

“Being awarded a SeaPort-e prime contract allows Aerotek to further expand our work with the U.S. Navy to provide a broad range of technical support services from some of the best companies in the industry," said Christy Doyle, Vice President of Aerotek’s Government Services program.  Currently, Aerotek provides contract services to all branches of the federal government.

The Naval Sea Systems Command established the SeaPort Office to achieve the vision of a faster, better and more cost-effective means to contract professional support services.  SeaPort-e became operational in 2001 when it awarded 21 MACs.  Today there are more than 2,000 SeaPort-e prime contract holders with less than eight of these companies providing staffing services and programs as a core focus.
