Aerotek Selected as 2009 Top Supporter of Historically Black Colleges and Universities
Aerotek, a global staffing provider, was recently selected as a 2009 Top Supporter of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and minority-serving institutions by the deans of the ABET-accredited engineering programs and the corporate-academic alliance Advancing Minorities’ Interest in Engineering (AMIE).
Top corporate organizations and government agencies were selected for this honor based on survey results completed by 11 institutions conducted by U.S. Black Engineer and Information Technology (USBE&IT) magazine. When completing the USBE&IT seventh annual editorial survey, deans of the institutions considered the following factors: support for infrastructure modernization and enhancement, research, participation on advisory councils, faculty development opportunities, scholarships, student projects, stipends, co-ops and career opportunities.
The top corporate organizations and government agencies selected for this honor will be recognized in the Deans Edition of the USBE&IT magazine in May 2009.
