Aerotek Listed as Largest U.S. Temporary Engineering Staffing Firm
Aerotek, a global staffing provider, was recently listed as the largest U.S. temporary engineering staffing firm for 2008 based on estimated 2008 temporary staffing revenue, according to a report by Staffing Industry Analysts, Inc. (SIA). According to the SIA report, it’s estimated that Aerotek’s engineering division alone generated approximately $749 million in temporary staffing revenue in 2008 — approximately 10 percent of the total U.S. temporary staffing segment.
A total of 19 temporary engineering staffing companies with estimated annual U.S. revenue of $50 million or more were included on the 2008 SIA list. Of the top 19 companies ranked in 2008, Aerotek’s revenue was more than $200 million of the estimated assets of two of its competitors, Volt Information Sciences and Adecco, ranked second and third, respectively.
According to SIA, the temporary engineering staffing segment has grown dramatically and today is a $4.3 billion segment making up about 60 percent of the total U.S. engineering/design temporary staffing market.
Aerotek currently operates more than 150 non-franchised offices throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. For more information about Aerotek, please go to www.aerotek.com.
