Aerotek Supports “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” in Baltimore
Employees of Baltimore-based staffing company give back to community
As a leading U.S. staffing provider specializing in the construction industry, among other industries, Baltimore-based Aerotek, Inc. is giving back to the Baltimore community with its support of ABC’s hit television show, “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” Aerotek employees will be volunteering in the construction of a brand new home for a Baltimore location of Boys Hope Girls Hope — a national charitable organization that provides at risk children with stable homes, education, and financial and emotional support. The new home constructed for the organization will be located in Overlea, Md.
As a sponsor of the build for the popular ABC television series’ appearance in Baltimore, Aerotek will have representation onsite during the construction of the house where Aerotek employees will also be volunteering throughout the week.
“Aerotek is honored to support a project of this magnitude that brings everyone together to help members of Boys Hope Girls Hope,” said Andy Hilger, Vice President of Strategic Operations for Aerotek and a board member of Boys Hope Girls Hope. “We look forward to providing some of the resources to make this dream a reality.”
Members of the “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” team surprised Boys Hope Girls Hope on Friday, July 9 by unexpectedly showing up at a local news interview to notify the group. Their new home is courtesy of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” Excel Homes, a Pa.-based custom modular home manufacturer, and the Maryland Community Builders’ Foundation.
Construction on the new home began July 10 and is scheduled to be complete by July 16.
