TEKsystems and WorldCom Team to Offer Customers Managed Hosting Services
TEKsystems complements IT service offerings by including high-end managed hosting; WorldCom to expand managed hosting services utilizing TEKsystems’ nationwide sales force
COLUMBIA, MD, February 4, 2002 — WorldCom and
TEKsystems have signed a one-year partnership agreement allowing TEKsystems
to offer its customers value-added Internet services provided through WorldCom.
For its part, WorldCom will gain a partnership with the nation's largest IT
and communications staffing company, utilizing TEKsystems' large customer base
and nationwide service and delivery teams to expand its managed hosting business.
The agreement will allow both industry-leading companies to leverage their collective
strengths, reliability and innovations to their customers. TEKsystems' sister
companies, under parent company Allegis Group, will share in the alliance relationship
with WorldCom.
TEKsystems has been offering comprehensive services focused on IT and telecommunications infrastructure since 1997. Its Infrastructure Solutions group has successfully delivered technology consulting, deployment, enterprise support and telecom engineering and installation services to businesses across industries and ranging in size from small and mid-size businesses to Fortune 500 clients.
The company recently expanded its IT services offerings as a result of TEKsystems’ merger with sister company Maxim Group, adding valuable capabilities in custom application development. Their Application Solutions group often encounters business customers with needs for hosted applications. The partnership with WorldCom provides TEKsystems’ customers with an alternative for managing applications via the Web.
