Executive Summary

This international entertainment Group entered into a joint venture with Shanghai local government to build their first resort in China, their third in Asia and sixth in the world. They required the assistance of a well-connected recruitment partner to source high quality property & construction candidates to help drive the project.

Business Plan

Aerotek has been a supplier within the industry for a number of years and has maintained strong relationships with key industry stakeholders throughout that time. As a result of these relationships within the market, Aerotek was referred internally by the Recruitment Manager of the Group’s retail branch to assist with their needs as part of the joint venture with Shanghai local government to build the Group’s first resort in China.
With a robust and growing entertainment industry in China, the Group was aiming for this high-profile project to be the best entertainment project in the country. Their first task was to set up a sizable project team within a short period of time which would manage all Property & Construction project functions.

Without a highly competent and efficient project team in place, the project schedule would be delayed resulting in significant loss of investment in the project.

Aerotek’s Solution

Aerotek was challenged with resolving the Groups immediate manpower shortages and to also speed up the hiring process so that key milestones could be met on time. Expecting significant volume within a short time period, Aerotek established an on-site team of consultants to manage the project, working closely with the Group’s HR staff to understand and clarify their requirements and needs.

Utilising their strong candidate networks, and leveraging the ‘employer of choice’ power of the Group’s brand within the market, Aerotek was able to provide a continuous flow of candidates to support the property and construction needs of the project.


With a success rate of over 60 percent, and a total of 28 permanent placements made, Aerotek became one of the key service providers to the Group during the project.
Aerotek has continued their strong relationships with the Group, and with the Resort scheduled to open in June 2016. Aerotek has been assisting the Group with the outplacement of the project team as each phase of the project is finalised.
