Paul Hines, OBD Calibration Engineer
I’ve always been passionate about engineering and dreamed of developing a career within the automotive industry. I’ve worked as a contractor previously and found that the experience didn’t match what I wanted out of a career. That changed after I heard from Chelsea, a recruiter at Aerotek. She took time to understand my skills and interests and walked me through Aerotek’s process step-by-step. After that first call, I knew a career as a contractor was possible with the right partner.
Chelsea prepared me for a job that was compatible with my skills and set me up for a career in the automotive industry that is everything I’ve wanted and more. As a design engineer, I’m able to unleash all of my abilities while also learning new things that will help me stay competitive. Over the course of my assignment, I’ve grown immensely. I’m able to work independently, diagnose and research engineering solutions.
This job has impacted my family and me not only financially, but emotionally. It’s enabled me to provide my family with what they deserve, and help my family in Puerto Rico attain economic stability. When you do what you love for a living, your attitude at work is different. You go to work full of positive vibes! You don’t watch the clock; you don’t look for easy things to do; you just enjoy work so much that no task seems impossible.
My recruiter found a way to combine my passion and professional career goals into one. I don’t have any need to look for other jobs — this is the one!
