Over the past 35 years, I’ve worked in fields from mechanical engineering and electronics to metallurgy, plating and coating special processes. I was a part of the prototype team for the Army’s development of the Apache AH64 Attack Helicopter program and the design team for the Hubble Telescope project, manufacturing the framing for the mirror lens.
I have been able to apply all my past experiences to my job today. This gives me a great sense of accomplishment and pride. The cultural experience at my current company has helped me grow to understand and work with a global team environment. Learning and working with engineering products globally has taught me that everyone in the world can work as a team to a common goal.
Knowing the urgency to be closer to my family, in just over a week, Aerotek found me a position 20 minutes from my family — amazing. My recruiter, Melissa, guided me through the process from resume preparation to knowing the culture and needs of the company, the history and even the management style. She was there for every step.
