Job Summary



Aerotek Engineering is seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer for a very exciting career opportunity with a great manufacturing company!

Responsibilities include:



1. Developing adapters and electrical systems to connect wire harnessing and electrical equipment..

2. Communicate with OEM manufacturers to gather detailed electrical information.

3. Fielding calls from distributors to assist in troubleshoot wiring issues.

4. Electrical testing and troubleshooting of wiring and electrical systems.

5. Writing new Engineering Change Orders to implement new wiring offerings.

6. Will be involved in mechanical tasks as well, like developing brackets to work with mounting resistors.



What the Electrical Engineer will need:



1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred. Associate's degree with 4+ years of experience.



2. Experience testing, troubleshooting, and developing electrical systems in a vehicle or mobile equipment such as wire harnesses, wire routing, wire protecting, preferably in lab setting.



3. Experience using 3D CAD software to design wire harnesses, wire routing, or layouts, preferably with Solidworks or Catia. Other CAD software will be considered.



4. Hands-on automotive or vehicle experience either professionally or personally.



5. Ability to work individually and as a member of a team, develop solutions, and problem solve independently.



6. Strong understanding of basic mechanical and electrical principles and theories.
