Job Summary

  • Familiarity with, and a working knowledge of the use of analog and digital measuring instrumentation such as Oscilloscopes, DMM's, VOM's and other required calibration equipment.
  • Calibration and Repair to component level.
  • Maintain data consisting of traceable results and history of calibrated equipment "software/hardcopy".
  • Prepare calibration reports and certificates.
  • Maintain calibration standards.
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of precision equipment where applicable.
  • Analyze measurement data to identify abnormalities, trends and/or predicting future values.
  • Identify Inspection, Measuring and Test Equipment (IM&TE) out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective action via adjustments, component replacement, correction factors, etc.
  • Adapt existing calibration equipment, standards, and techniques to accomplish unique measurements tasks for which they are not principally used.
  • Design and document measurement reference material for laboratory use.
  • Analyze calibration cycles and IM&TE inventory to ensure consistent availability.
  • Interact with other metrology technicians, engineers, and assembly technicians to resolve metrology/calibration issues

  • Willingness and motivation to learn new calibration processes and equipment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to participate in a team and highly diverse environment.
  • Ability to participate and contribute to several projects simultaneously.
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability.

  • 2+ years of experience as an electronic technician/ test technician
  • Experience working in the back shop or repair and overhaul facility
