Job Summary





Job brief

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to integrate with our existing Information & Communications Technology team. The primary role involves participating in the design of solutions and working to then develop and install software solutions which will streamline our semiconductor manufacturing process. The successful candidate will be able to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. Software engineer responsibilities will include development, writing code, and documenting functionality.



Responsibilities

Execute full lifecycle software development

Write well designed, testable, efficient code

Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility

Integrate software components into a fully functional software system

Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures

Document and maintain software functionality

Tailor and deploy software tools, processes and metrics

Comply with project plans and industry standards



Requirements

BS degree in Computer Science

Proven work experience as a computer software engineer or software developer

Hands on experience in designing interactive applications

Ability to develop software in C#, C, Python or other selected languages on both Microsoft and Linux platforms.

Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases and Big Data, including scalability and performance elements.

Experience in developing web applications using web frameworks such as Bootstrap across platforms.

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.

Experience with test-driven development.

Experience in designing and supporting High Availability platforms and services and building fault tolerant/recovering applications.

Experience in integrating disparate systems in a coherent and logical manner as part of a structured and controlled environment.

Mastery in software engineering tools

Ability to document requirements and specifications

Familiarity with software development methodology and release processes

Ability to work within a team, actively participating where necessary and accepting direction within managed projects.
