How do I get a job with Aerotek?

The first step is to create an account on Aerotek.com.  Once your account is created, you will be added into our talent pool and should your skills and experience match one of our open positions, a recruiter will reach out to you. Your profile information will also allow us to send you relevant positions that match your interests and goals. We encourage you to keep your profile and resume up-to-date to ensure the most accurate matching and best chance for selection.

If you have already created an account, you can easily apply to  our open positions on our Job Board. If you have questions regarding any of our open positions, please contact the recruiter listed at the bottom of the job description.

What is the cost of Aerotek's services to job seekers?

There is no cost to job seekers. We are paid by the companies where our employees are placed.

What benefits do you offer?

Working for Aerotek gives you access to comprehensive health benefits and a variety of work-life benefits. Our benefits include contributory medical, dental and vision insurance. Specific assignments may include paid time off, and all Aerotek contract employees can enjoy an array of employee discounts from our many retail partners.

How long do assignments last?

The length of an assignment varies according to our client’s needs — ranging from a few months to a few years. We work to place you in a role that fits your short-term or long-term needs. While assignments are subject to our client’s needs, it is important that you communicate your needs as well with your recruiter.

How and when am I paid?

Contract employees are paid weekly by Aerotek. Our pay schedule runs from Sunday through Saturday. You will receive your paycheck or direct deposit every Friday, depending on your local mail service. Direct placement employees are paid in accordance with our client’s payroll policies.

Do you have a general mailbox for resumes, or do I have to apply for a specific job?

If you would like to be considered for employment, but do not see a current job posting that matches your skills and experience, we encourage you to create an account and submit your resume. By doing so, you will receive email alerts with recommended jobs that match your criteria. Create a profile today.

I am relocating soon. Can I apply for a job in my new location?

Job applications require a valid, current address. You can indicate your geographic preferences for work on your application. To indicate your geographic preferences, choose one or more cities in the eligibility section of your job application.

Do you offer internships?

We primarily staff specific jobs with our clients. We do offer internships at our corporate offices in Hanover, MD (near Baltimore) in a variety of positions. Please contact our corporate office about internship possibilities at (410) 694-5100 or 1-800-AEROTEK.

Do you hire contract employees on a corp-to-corp basis? Do you hire independent contractors?

Aerotek hires its employees on a W-2 basis. Aerotek withholds taxes from our contract employees and earnings are reported to the IRS each year. Aerotek employees must complete a W-4 form at the beginning of their employment. Aerotek generally does not hire contract employees on a 1099 basis or by way of corp-to-corp arrangements.

Does Aerotek have a minimum age requirement to work?

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age in order to be considered for employment.

I have a criminal record, will Aerotek hire me?

Aerotek is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes all applicants regardless of their protected class or background. Based on some of our customer’s needs and requirements for a position, a criminal background check may be required. Applicants are encouraged to search available job postings on the Aerotek website and apply to any positions for which they are qualified.

Does Aerotek hire permanent resident aliens? Green card holders? Those with valid work visas?

Most Aerotek positions are open to any individual eligible to work in the United States. This includes those with valid Employment Authorization Documents, those with valid United States Permanent Resident Cards (also known as Green Cards), and others eligible to work in the United States as described on Department of Homeland Security document I-9.

Some positions have more stringent eligibility requirements, particularly jobs with our customers who work directly for the Federal government or as authorized Federal contractors. The eligibility requirements for these positions are described in the individual job postings.

I live overseas and want to move to the United States. Does Aerotek offer sponsorship?

Aerotek only hires individuals currently eligible to work in the United States. For information on employment eligibility in the United States, please visit the U.S. Immigration Services website. If you have further questions, call 1-888-AEROTEK to speak to a recruiter in one of our offices.

Would Aerotek be willing to transfer H1?

Contract Employee Questions


How do I get a blank timecard?

Contact your Aerotek office or visit our Tools & Resources Timesheets page to submit timesheets.

When will W-2 forms be mailed out?

W-2 forms are mailed out the last week of January to your address on file as of January 1.

If you moved after your employment with us and provided us with a new address via a local office before January, we have your new address in our system and your W-2 will be delivered to that address.

If you have a different address from when you were employed with us, please contact the local office that employed you with your updated address information.

If you have signed up for an online W-2, you will receive an email from TALX when the online W-2 is available to view.

If you have not received your W-2 by mid-February, you can request a reprint from the office that employed you.

I have worked for Aerotek in the past. How do I get my W-2?

If you elected to receive your W-2 online, you will receive an email from TALX when the online W-2 is available to view.

How do I find the office nearest to me?

Visit Aerotek Locations to view our U.S. or global office locations. You can also dial 1-888-AEROTEK to be connected to the nearest office.

I do not live near an Aerotek office. Can I still apply for jobs with you?

We work with many companies that have locations all over the country, not just near major metropolitan areas. You should first create an account and post your resume online. Once your resume is posted, our recruiters will be able to view your resume. From your account you can apply for jobs and contact our recruiters whose information is located at the bottom of each posting. Our recruiters will be happy to discuss employment opportunities with you.

What can the Aerotek Mobile App do?

The Aerotek mobile app gives job seekers a competitive edge by providing real-time access to job opportunities and an inside track to professional recruiter knowledge and research. Users can browse open positions and immediately apply; gain quick access to information such as interview tips; and locate an Aerotek office — all at the touch of a button.

How do I stop the application from freezing and/or crashing?

If the application is freezing and/or crashing, please email aerotekmobilejobsupport@aerotek.com. Please state in your email what the exact issue is or what activity is creating the application error.

Does Aerotek sell any of my information provided on this application?

No. We do not sell your personal information nor do we share any personal information with advertising vendors.

How do I refer a friend?
