  • Amir Al-Ajooz
    Sales Manager – Europe
    With over seven years’ of recruitment experience across a number of industries, both hands on and management, I manage and lead Aerotek’s European Life Sciences division, concentrating on the Clinical and Scientific markets. I oversee Operations, Sales, Strategic Initiatives and Business Development across the region.

    I began my career at Aston Carter, an Allegis Group company, back in 2009, acting as a recruiter for technical staff across the London area. I soon moved to Manchester to lead a new contract and permanent business with one of Allegis Group’s core brands, TEKsystems. Having grown the office over a three year period, I then took on the opportunity to move back to London to run the Aerotek brand. Having worked across different industries and geographies I’m well placed to bring together all that is good about recruitment. I pride myself on holding my team to the highest of standards and working with the upmost of professionalism. Integrity is important to me and something my team have in abundance. I’m proud to be treated as a partner by our clients and candidates, rather than just another agency.

    I have more than three years’ of recruitment experience placing both permanent and contract professionals into Biometrics and Information roles. In this time I have developed an in-depth candidate and client network across the UK and Mainland Europe. I’ve gained a technical understanding of the different skillsets within biometrics and their impact on the drug development life cycle. More importantly this experience has allowed me to identify, assess and bring to market the top talent in the industry. Making sure my team and I match the best candidates in the market to my clients' requirements is of paramount importance to growing our reputations and separating ourselves from our competitors.

    The ability to understand the technical and business challenges my clients are trying to solve and advising on market conditions that could impact their recruitment campaign are areas where I’m able to play a key role.  I develop trusted partnerships with the companies I supply to and consult them through the more difficult stages of the recruitment process.

    Senior Consultant – Clinical Operations
    I am a seasoned recruitment professional with over nine years’ experience specialising in capital market solutions focussing on the temporary/contract staffing industry. My experience stems globally with knowledge and experience across the UK and Mainland Europe markets as well as the US and APAC.

    Having worn many hats in my time as a recruitment professional, from IT to Finance to Life Sciences, I am confident in my ability to help assess, and execute on your recruitment needs to help simplify the sourcing of key projects in your area. 

    I run a Clinical Operations team that prides itself on being able to deliver the highest quality candidates, meet deadlines but also being able to effectively partner with my clients, having open and honest dialogue. For us recruitment is about going the extra mile, something which I know my team will always do.

    Senior Consultant – Regulatory & PV
    With over five years’ recruitment experience specific to Life Sciences, I manage Aerotek’s Regulatory and PVG team here in the UK and Mainland Europe. 

    During this time I have gained a deep understanding of the Scientific landscape and built strong networks across Europe. This gives me access to some of the top professionals within their respective areas. I combine an in-depth appreciation of this highly technical space, with a very personable approach. 

    My focus is to understand and appreciate the needs of my candidates and clients and advise them, not only in their primary aims, but also to support them with their future business challenges.

    I endeavour to support in the transactional sense and also deliver a much more valued service based on my experience. I always tailor my approach to the needs of my candidates and clients, giving them both a professional and considered service.

    With more than two years’ experience working at Aerotek within the Health Economics and Market Access space, I have built my network from scratch based on my market knowledge and reputation. I manage a small team of likeminded consultants who also specialise in this space but with a different geographical focus. I pride myself on receiving repeat business from my clients and currently work with some of the most desirable Pharma’s and consultancies in the industry. 

    As HEOR/Market Access is a relatively new patch within the pharmaceutical industry, I quickly realised that the challenge was around identifying and attracting candidates in this niche area. Therefore I made a commitment to truly understand the subject matter within this market, as well as the people who drive it. I meet or Skype all of my candidates and I also attend industry-related conferences such as ISPOR annually.
  • Jasmine Ramtoolah
    Senior Consultant – Commercial
    With over 4 years’ experience recruiting Commercial roles for the Pharmaceutical industry, I lead the Sales & Marketing team across Europe here at Aerotek. My personal focus is in placing mid to senior Sales & Marketing professionals into Innovative Pharma, Generics and Pharma Services. 

    I actively engage with passive candidates and thanks to a solid industry reputation built over the years, I also consistently receive referrals from my network.  A good commercial person is generally assessed on their softer skills, meaning the time a recruiter puts towards getting to know these individuals is absolutely imperative in providing you with the right person for your vacancy. My experience in this space is a real asset when it comes to this. I thoroughly qualify, meet and reference every candidate that interviews through me in order to build an accurate profile of who they are professionally and personally as well as identifying what actually motivates them. 

    My service doesn’t end after I’ve identified relevant candidates for you. I continue to communicate with HR and/or the hiring manager throughout the process, keep them in the loop on any key factors taking place in the candidates’ search, provide them with genuine advice on each candidate and give each side prompt feedback. I manage the entire interview process on their behalf because ultimately, whether a candidate is successful in that process or not, they will have a positive experience and maintain a good impression of my clients and of Aerotek.
