I thought this role within data loss prevention and cyber security would just be a foot in the door into the field. But after being on the team for almost a year, there is an opportunity for me to move into my role for the long term.

I’m improving my skills and it’s preparing me for the future. I’ve learned lots of cool things from protecting our advisors, investors and branch and home office from multiple threats.

When I was looking for a job, I would post and apply online and just assumed that the recruiters were supposed to call me. I was ambitious and sure of myself, but I didn’t hear back, and I started doubting whether I’d be able to really start my career.  Jose, my recruiter, was the only one that actually called me back. He went above and beyond to help me with my resume and coach me so that I would find a job that was a good fit for me.

Jose helped me get my foot in the door, and my career is going in the direction that I was hoping it would. I really didn’t understand the phrase “Shoot for the Stars” until I started working with Aerotek.
