I was born in the Philippines and moved to the U.S. when I was nine years old. Looking back, I’m most proud of my time serving as a U.S. Army Medical Services Officer. I loved being a platoon leader; you learn a lot from having to lead people, especially ones you go on special missions with.
I believe a life in service of others is a life worth living — I’ve always had a passion for helping others. Currently, I’m a Quality Assurance Specialist at a global biopharmaceutical company focused on providing innovative therapies. I make sure that what the company does is of the highest quality in helping patients.
Working with Aerotek exposed me to the possibilities within a mixture of experience in the scientific, military and customer service worlds. I feel like what I’m doing now matters, not just to the company but to the world. There is a sense of honor in knowing that something you’re doing is helping people in need. I am headed in the right direction in my professional career and in the industry I love.
My recruiter, Tanya, remembers the details that I’ve shared with her, whether it’s my birthday or to thank me for military service when military related holidays come along. Even as a permanent employee now, she still keeps in contact with me. Tanya went above and beyond, and she shares the same passion for helping others as I do.
