The annual awards program acknowledges top companies across the region located in Alexandria and Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William counties in Virginia, and Montgomery and Prince George's counties in Maryland, based on workplace satisfaction surveys.
The Best Places to Work list is divided into three categories: small companies with between 10 and 50 U.S. employees; medium companies with between 51 and 150 U.S. employees, such as Aerotek’s Washington D.C. area offices; and large companies with more than 151 U.S. employees. Aerotek operates three Washington D.C. staffing offices, employing more than 100 internal employees around the metro region.
Companies were selected and ranked through a process managed by Quantum Market Research and Quantum Workplace. Companies were evaluated by the independent research organization on a variety of criteria including: team effectiveness, retention, employee alignment with company goals, trust with co-workers, individual contribution, manager effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, work engagement and people practices.
